A highly effective three-hour, in-house ethics-training course that can be given as three-separate one-hour sessions or one half-day course. Materials include PowerPoint slides with extensive instructor notes, copious hand-out materials, and an explanatory memorandum with information on obtaining two important videos not included in the package.

Session One begins with basics to familiarize participants with ethics and the principles involved. The 24-minute Gilbane Gold video is a key element of this session. It presents a fictitious, but realistic ethics situation. The discussion that occurs after the video is shown demonstrates that the resolution of ethics situations involves many more “grays” than “black-and-whites.”

Session Two delves more deeply into the principles and fundamentals of ethics, particularly how they relate to and affect professionals. The session closes by presenting a straightforward technique for resolving ethical issues.

Session Three is highlighted by the 26-minute Testing Water… and Ethics video, which is followed by discussion and a look at codes of ethics.
