Member firm performs subsurface exploration, provide recommendations, identify potential groundwater problems for a two-story family home near a flank of a ridge. After the months of the completion of the house, the basement was experiencing cracking, buckling and seeping of water. The client representative wanted the member-firm to pay for the damages even though the constructor did not follow the recommendations, including the building of surface drainage.
