GBA CASE HISTORY # 108
| Description |
Member-firm provides geotechnical engineering report and COMET services, including earthwork and foundation construction observation for the construction of nursing home in an undeveloped land. During the construction they had to make design changes to sewer lines, even though the structural engineer was supposed to respond. Four years later, swelling clays caused the sewer line to back-up and the lower-level slab began showing heaving related distress.
