| Description |
Member-Firm performs a geotechnical engineering study to support design of high-rise foundation systems, recommend earth pressures for shoring, basement walls and permanent dewatering systems; and serve as the client's representative for earthwork operations on the project of 2 level parking lot. As the excavation was about to finish two of the soldier piles plunged downward and rotated toward the basement excavation, as the constructor was trying to fix and prevent further damage, days later the north wall shoring plunged downward toward the basement excavation, rupturing water pipe, and damaging adjacent properties.
